王晓刚教授同时亦为香港中文大学电子工程系教授。商汤移动智能事业群，以人工智能和增强现实赋能手机、大文娱、智能驾驶、智能车舱、智慧文旅、AIoT和智慧健康等多个领域，加速构建商汤在移动终端的人工智能和增强现实的技术、产品、平台的核心优势。商汤研究院与国内外众多一流高校（如麻省理工学院、港中文、清华、北大、上交、浙大等）建立合作或联合实验室。2014-2021期间，商汤科技研究院及联合实验室在全球计算机视觉顶级期刊和会议上（如CVPR、ICCV、ECCV等）共发表400余篇关于深度学习和计算机视觉的研究论文，在世界所有科研机构和公司排名第一。2012年王晓刚教授带领的DeepID团队首次利用深度学习在人脸识别任务上超越人类肉眼识别率，突破了深度学习的工业应用红线。2015、2016年，王晓刚教授带领的商汤科技-香港中文大学团队还连续获得ImageNet大规模视觉识别挑战赛的多项冠军。

王晓刚教授的研究领域包括计算机视觉和机器学习。他在顶级的国际期刊和会议发表超过300篇论文，其论文在Google Scholar上的引用超过60000次，h-index = 115（计算机科学领域世界排名102）。王晓刚教授在2016年获得PAMI杰出青年学者奖荣誉提名，并在2012年获得香港RGC杰出青年学者奖。他还是国际顶级计算机视觉会议CVPR 2017, ICCV 2011, ICCV 2015, ICCV 2017, ECCV 2014, ECCV 2016, ACCV 2014和ACCV 2015的领域主席。王晓刚教授是科技人工智能2030重大科研项目专家组成员，也是中国增强现实核心技术产业联盟理事长。王晓刚教授毕业于中国科技大学少年班，于2001年获得电子工程与信息科学学士学位；2004年获得香港中文大学信息工程硕士学位；2009年获得麻省理工学院人工智能实验室计算机博士学位。

Xiaogang WANG

President of Mobile Intelligence Group; Co-founder and Head of Research, SenseTime

Prof. Wang Xiaogang is the president of Mobile Intelligence Group, co-founder and head of Research, SenseTime. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mobile Intelligence Group enhances SenseTime’s core strength of AI and AR technologies, products and platforms in mobile terminals by using AI and AR to empower mobile phone application, online entertainment, autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit, Smart Cultural Tourism, AIoT and smart healthcare, etc. SenseTime Research Institute has established cooperation or joint laboratories with many top universities worldwide such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, etc. SenseTime Research Institute and its Joint Laboratories have published more than 400 research papers in the world’s top computer vision journals and conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.) since 2014. He led the SenseTime-CUHK team to consecutively win multiple championships in ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC) in 2016 and 2017.  

Prof. Wang’s research area covers computer vision and deep learning. He has published over 300 papers in top conferences and journals with his publications receiving over 60,000 citations on Google Scholar. Prof. Wang has been awarded the honorable mention of PAMI Young Researcher Award 2016, and Hong Kong RGC Early Career Award in 2012. He was the area chair of CVPR 2017, ICCV 2017, ICCV 2015, ICCV 2011, ECCV 2016, ECCV 2014, ACCV 2015, and ACCV 2014.

Prof. Wang received a bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering and Information Science from the Special Class of Gifted Young at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001, a master degree in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009.
