前中英商会副主席、中英商会金融服务论坛联合主席。霍格同时也是北京亚世和康商务咨询有限公司（霍格跨境咨询）的创始人和董事长。

1976年，他加入威利斯集团，在伦敦和新加坡的亚洲再保险团队工作。他在首尔创立了集团的办事处，1994年至1996年在香港负责大中华区，之后回到在迪拜合资公司担任总经理。2001年，他在迪拜成立了一家第三方管理Neuron。到2009年为止，该公司为迪拜政府、迪拜港口管理局（简称迪拜世界）和一些业务涉及大约20万人口主要的保险公司工作。2012年，他在搬到中国时转让了自己的股份。他于2008年成立了目前的公司，于2012年成立了一家当地保险经纪公司，并于2019年出售。此外，他是一家芬兰公司的合伙人，参与开发地热能源。霍格曾就读于英国最好的私立学校伊顿公学，之后就读吉尔福德法学院。

Peter is the Joint Chairman of the British Chamber in China, and previously served as the Vice Chairman of the Chamber.

Peter Hogg was educated at Eton College, the top Private school in the UK. He then attended Guildford Law School.In 1976 he joined Willis Group and worked on the Asian Reinsurance team in London and Singapore. He set up their office in Seoul and was in charge of Greater China based in Hong Kong from 1994 to 1996. He then told over and Managing Director of their JV in Dubai. In 2001 he set up Neuron LLC a Third Party Administrator based in Dubai. He grew this company until in 2009 it was working for the Government of Dubai, Dubai Ports Authority (Dubai World) and a number of leading insurers handling around 200,000 lives. He sold his shares on moving to China in 2012.He set up his current company in 2008 and a local insurance broker in 2012 which he sold in 2019. He is additionally a partner in a Finnish Company who are involved in developing Geothermal Energy.
